Wordrunner eChapbooks is primarily an online publication. Our one-author collections are also published as Kindles.

We want emotional complexity and nuanced characters in CNF or memoir, as well as precise and telling language. Essays may be flash or longer, from 500 up to 5,000 words.

Submit one CNF piece or memoir excerpt up to 5,000 words or up to three flashes (500 to 1,000 words each).

Work should not have been previously published. No AI-generated or assisted writing, please.

Submit in ONE FILE (Word doc or docx, RTF or ODT) per category, which includes title (or titles, if poems or multiple flash fictions) in the file name. DOUBLE SPACE prose and use a standard font, such as Times Roman. Please PAGINATE prose submissions.

We want emotional complexity and nuanced characters in prose pieces, as well as precise and telling language. We do not want genre fiction (horror, supernatural, fantasy). Science fiction is acceptable if it is character driven. Historical fiction is also of interest. 

Submit one short story or novel excerpt up to 5,000 words or up to three flash fictions (500 to 1,000 words each).
