We are no longer publishing an annual anthology, nor are we open to submissions for anything but micro-prose.
Wordrunner eChapbooks is an online publication. Beginning in 2026, our issues will consist of excerpts from longer works by one author, published as trade paperbacks and Kindles by Wordrunner Press. These publications for now are by invitation only. We may accept queries in the future. Stay tuned!
Authors (with the exception of micro-prose) receive payment: $125 for each prose or poetry collection plus 50% of royalties.
Submit ONE micro-fiction or micro-nonfiction, 200 words max (50-word minimum) on any topic. We want to read concise and powerful stories in which credible characters interact.

Your cover letter should include a bio of 50 words or less, though this will not be read until after we have made our selections. Indicate in the cover letter whether your submission is fiction or nonfiction.

There is no payment for micro-prose, aside from the EDITOR'S CHOICE, whose author will be paid $25.
